The 5-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Global Trade Insights & International Trading Floors 

Our students engaged in a high-level panel discussion with the President of the leading local Gem and Jewelry Trade Association and his team. The conversation covered critical pillars of the modern gem trade: Industry trends, Sourcing, Trade, Compliance, Ethics, Certification, and Verification. Following this insightful exchange, Mr. Jaynil Ajmera thanked the President for hosting our cohort. The session concluded with a proud moment as the President personally distributed certificates to our students.

In the evening, the momentum continued with a visit to an iconic international jewelry trade center. Students walked the trading floors, interacting directly with gemstone traders and exporters to understand real-time market dynamics.

Day 2: Advanced Manufacturing at a Special Economic Zone 

On the second day, students shifted focus from trade to production with a visit to a world-class industrial estate dedicated entirely to diamonds and jewelry.

Visiting a premier, global gemstone processing and manufacturing facility, students observed precision gemstone polishing and jewelry manufacturing processes firsthand, giving them a clear blueprint of how design concepts are transformed into retail-ready luxury pieces.

Day 3: Gem Museum & The Secrets of Gem Enhancement 

The cohort traveled to a region historically celebrated as a gemstone capital. The day began at a prominent Gem and Jewelry Museum, where students traced the history and significance of the local gemstone industry. With Mr. Jaynil Ajmera acting as a guiding hand, students gained a deeper understanding of gemstone properties and history.

Next, the group visited a specialized gem-cutting unit to gain practical insights into gemstone processing techniques. Here, they experienced the entire process from rough to finished piece, learning about advanced treatment.

Day 4: Hands-On Mining & The Science of the Furnace 

Day 4 brought our students directly to the source: gemstone mining at active mining grounds. Students saw how raw gemstones are collected in their natural form and gained exciting, hands-on experience on-site.

The afternoon was dedicated to an educational workshop on gemstone treatments. Students observed highly precise glass-filling treatments on stones, inspected the final outcome, and learned about the specialized crucibles used in heat treatments. They saw treatments performed using oil and gas furnaces, understanding the science behind how a rich, dark color is achieved in the gemstone.

Day 5: Navigating the Gemstone Market & Smart Sourcing 

The final day was all about putting their accumulated knowledge to the test at a bustling regional gemstone market.

With the expert guiding hand of Mr. Jaynil Ajmera, students learned how to analyze market dynamics and evaluate value on the spot. Armed with confidence, many students successfully cracked excellent business deals, sourcing their own stones directly. The trip concluded as the students boarded their return flights—packed with immense learning and unforgettable memories.
