It allows designers to create precise, production-ready models of any jewelry form - rings, pendants, earrings, necklaces, and complex mechanisms - with accuracy down to a fraction of a millimetre.
No prior CAD or design experience is required. The course starts from the very basics of Rhino - interface, navigation, and 2D drawing - and builds progressively to advanced modelling, AI tools, and 3D printing. Many JK alumni had no background in jewelry before joining.
Always start with Rhino. MatrixGold is a plugin that runs inside Rhino - so a Rhino foundation is essential before moving to MatrixGold. The correct learning sequence for professional jewelry CAD is: Rhino first, then MatrixGold. JK Diamonds Institute offers both as separate courses and as part of the Professional CAD/CAM Programme.
The course covers 16 modules and is typically completed in 3–4 months. It is available in a hybrid format - both online and on-campus at JK Diamonds Institute, Andheri East, Mumbai.
