Industry Exposure at Its Finest: J K PDG Students Visit Romil Jewelry
Industry Exposure at Its Finest: J K PDG Students Visit Romil Jewelry

On 15th April, our Polished Diamond Graduate (PDG) students got a firsthand experience of how the jewelry industry truly operates with a visit to Romil Jewelry.
From Legacy to Modern Luxury
What started as a discussion around India’s 5000-year-old jewelry heritage quickly turned into a realization—this industry isn’t just about ornaments, it’s about evolution. From the era of royal gold jewelry to today’s diamond-studded, design-led pieces, students saw how tradition still influences every modern creation.
What Made This Visit Valuable
Instead of just theory, students witnessed the actual journey of a jewelry piece:
• How a concept is translated into a design
• The detailing and precision behind every piece
• The role of diamonds and other materials in modern jewelry
• How manufacturing units function at scale with efficiency and quality control
Seeing the entire process under one roof made it clear—every small detail matters in this industry.
The Story Behind the Brand
The journey of Himat Vora added a whole new layer of learning. From starting out in Mumbai’s diamond trade to building a global jewelry business, it showed students what consistency, skill, and vision can truly create.
A special thanks to Mrs. Tanuja (HR) for coordinating and hosting us so warmly, and for taking the time to make our students comfortable and familiar with the entire process.
Why This Experience Matters
For PDG students, understanding diamonds is just the beginning. Knowing how they fit into the larger jewelry ecosystem—that’s what sets them apart.
This visit did exactly that.
