JK Alumni Meet & Convocation 2026 – The Leap from Local to National

Over 130 alumni and graduating students came together for a power-packed evening at J K Diamonds Institute's Alumni Meet & Convocation 2026 powered by Sky Gold and Diamonds.
CEO Mr. Jaynil Ajmera opened the evening with a warm welcome, introducing this year's theme — "The Leap from Local to National." He spoke about a generation of students with bigger ambitions than ever before — some aiming to grow professionally, others building their own brands — and how ambition today needs to be matched with execution. The evening, he said, was designed to bring students face-to-face with people already doing exactly that.
With this, he introduced the evening's power-packed fireside chats — conversations with industry leaders who've made this very leap, and who came to share what it takes:
🔹 Mr. Ketan Gharat
President, Sky Gold and Diamonds
Leading Culture & People Management as a core growth strategy at the company.
With prior leadership stints at KGK, Hewlett Packard, and Raymond, his experience spans both MNCs and Indian corporate giants.
🔹 Mr. Sandeep Kohli
CEO, Indriya (Aditya Birla Jewellery)
An HUL veteran of 30+ years across leadership roles in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Australia. Under his leadership, Indriya has opened 81 stores across 40 cities in just two years.
Both fireside chats were hosted by Mr. Naman Ajmera, who steered candid conversations around scaling businesses, building culture, and leading brands at a national level. The session closed with an open Q&A, giving students a direct chance to ask questions to the industry veterans on stage.
The Certification Ceremony followed, with graduating students felicitated on stage alongside Mr. Sandeep Kohli, Mr. Ketan Gharat, Mr. Kirit Ajmera, Mr. Jaynil Ajmera, and Mr. Naman Ajmera — marking a proud milestone for every graduate.
Mr. Jaynil Ajmera closed the evening on a note of gratitude and commitment — reaffirming JK's dedication to lifelong learning through its newly launched programs, Jewelry Engineering and Diamond Business Mastermind, designed to help jewelers grow not just their craft, but their businesses.
A special moment followed as a custom brooch, designed by student Bhavika Khandelwal, was presented to Mr. Sandeep Kohli.
The evening wrapped up with group photographs and a celebratory hats-off moment — a fitting close to a night that celebrated how far JK's Alumni have come, and how much further they're headed.
